Sent my mom home to early with covid 19 ????

My mother was rushed in with COVID-19 . Sent her home within a week. Even though she had COVID-19 / pneumonia. Why send her home ? Was rushed back in to Heartlands hospital a few days later critical and passed away a week after her 80th birthday. If they kept her in a little longer she may have lived. The nhs let her down. Did try making a complaint to the PALs department but no reply and nearly 12 months after her death.

I was referred for treatment last year but I am still waiting. I could not recommend UHB whose cancer treatment service seems to have collapsed.

All aspects of the care and treatment we received including operations, radiotherapy and chemotherapy were given in a way that made us feel cared for and confident that we were being well looked after. The only flaw was in the way we were treated by the MacMillan nurses,[names withheld]. [Name withheld] especially was unhelpful and at times obstructive. After promising our consultant that she would arrange chemotherapy appointments, she neglected to do so. When we chased it up with her, she told us to do it ourselves. My husband did not want to make things worse so did not make any complaint.
Treatment for my daughter in law was superb.

Diagnosed with an extremely rare cancer, treatment was speedy and superb as is the aftercare and follow treatment.
No reply after GP made a referral.

The review should have taken place by 9th June, it tells you to phone if you haven’t heard anything by then and when you do you just get told it will be 60 weeks ! Not even a telephone consultation with them, poor service.
