Awful care due to lack of resources
February 9, 2023
I collapsed at work and was taken in by ambulance. Long wait on ambulance, long wait when taken in. The experience was awful for me and my partner who came to support me. No one to tell you what's going on or to reassure you. Lack of staff, lack of resources. A really horrible and scary experience for us both.
Overworked staff & lack of resources
February 9, 2023
I recently attended my GP who sent me straight to A&E. I had pneumonia and was admitted for an overnight stay. I was treated but the care was not great. Not enough nurses to care for everyone properly. Lovely staff but being let down by lack of resources.
Fracture clinic - Seen quickly by lovely staff

Outpatients appointment at clinic 9 (Fracture Clinic). Excellent care and great experience. Seen quickly by lovely staff who really looked after me.
A&E quicker than expected
February 9, 2023
Had to attend accident and emergency because of a suspected fracture. Was worried about waiting times but was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was seen and sent to the Fracture clinic.
Diabolical

Not communicating with a deaf patient so that she could hear, and declaring her to have dementia her care was disgusting bordering on abuse.
Excellent care from Gynaecology department
January 31, 2023
I live with a long term medical condition and although this cannot be cured, the gynaecology department has been fantastic in supporting me with pain management.
Discharged after suicide attempt
January 25, 2023
Referred to the RAID clinic after a suicide attempt. I was just asked if I was ok and discharged.
Long waiting time for bed in hospital
December 9, 2022
I waited 9 hours in a wheelchair at the A&E before being moved to a ward. While I was waiting, no one spoke with me, I was hungry and lonely. I must say that I will rather be at home then feeling miserable in the hospital
Waiting times are too long

Too long for the waiting times.
I had to take my newphew last year who started experiencing breathing issues.
The Drs checked him and advised that he needed Iron tablets and Vita D tablets.
They provided prescriptions for these medications. Letter was sent to GP a couple of days later advising of the visit.
Consultants were good but results did not come in time.
Could have gone home earlier as I had to take all the children with me to the hospital.

Long waiting time for treatment

I contacted the hospital, appointment coordinators regarding my referral for my bowel. They told me there's 52 weeks+ waiting list. This was weeks ago.
They were like you have only been waiting 39 weeks. They told me to phone back after 52 weeks. It has been 52 weeks when I last called them.
So now I will have to phone and say it has been a whole year since being referred.
I was referred by my Surgeon who operated on me to the GP, saying that I needed an urgent referral for a bowel specialist.
I still haven't seen anyone and still on the referral list.
No communication apart from a letter at the beginning of the year advising to call if I haven't heard anything by February. I have been calling every month since then and all I get told is wait.
I understand there has been covid and understand their is awaiting list but when I am doubled over in agony and it's affecting my job.
