Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your patient experience at Heartlands Hospital. We are sorry that you have had such a long way to travel to be seen.

We are very pleased to inform you that in June 2023 the MIU will be opening again and in addition to this service there will also be a minor illnesses service which will be provided by a local primary care provider (GPs) and this collaboration will mean that the two services will be opened in June as the Solihull Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC).

The UTC will provide a much needed urgent care service – supporting with minor illnesses and injuries - for the residents of Solihull.

I do hope this is acceptable and thank you for providing your comments.

Patient experience is very important to us and it is important that the department responsible for your nan's care is made aware of your concerns so that they can address any issues you wish to raise.

Thank you for taking time to leave feedback about your care at Heartlands Hospital whilst attending the Diabetic Department. We are sorry your experience has been so patchy and to hear of the difficulties you are facing regarding be seen on a regular basis.

Your feedback has been sent to the senior manager of the department so that they are aware of your experience and your concerns regarding the appointment system. As there are many diabetic clinics held it is difficult to pin point which clinic you are having difficulties with. Can you please get in contact with the Clinical Nurse Specialist for your service and speak to them about the concerns you are having. They are there to give you support and advice.
