Poor communication & lack of appointments

It is very difficult to get through on the telephone line which makes it very hard to get an appointment. There is no continuity of care, you always see a different doctor even when you request to see the same one. Some doctors are quite arrogant. Some reception staff are unhelpful and when they tell you they will get back to you they don't.

Not Jacey issue - issue for SHP. Impossible to make appointment for bloods for heart failure or get advice following Covid vaccine side effects. Tried now - telephones at capacity - wont even let me be "37th in the queue" and have me waiting for an hour for someone to answer. Shambles. Was much better as individual practices. Frankly dangerous lack of access. Should be in special measures in fact why aren't they?
Delayed referral for chest x-ray

I was suffering from chest pains and the GP himself suggested that I get a chest x-ray but the referral was never made. I was given antibiotics and after a while the pains returned. So after more than 3 months I got a letter from the hospital to come in for x-ray. I feel like the GP don't take us serious enough.
Very poor response to queries

I am a mother of two teenagers and whenever they are unwell I panic because it is impossible to get appointment to see a doctor. It is stressful and shameful. The doctors prescribing antibiotics without seeing the patients is not acceptable.

Very difficult to request answer for e.g. blood test.

I think because of this, this is why the A&E departments are so full.
The practice is rubbish now, can't see the same doctor and can be sent to any surgery. Very poor service.

The practice is convenient for me as we live a walk away, the service is good but getting through the phone in the morning can be a pain.
Waiting to see the doctor and medication

Most of the time I get to see the same doctor and am happy about it but the long waiting time on the phone gives me anxiety and when I finally get through I am told there no appointment left.

The surgery is fine. No major issues.
I do not get regular medication reviews.
My mum rings the surgery every months for the prescriptions.
We try to phone the surgery but due to covid they were unable to offer appointments which they tried their best with.
If appointments is required to see the doctors, then we go direct to the surgery . We can get appointments pretty fast generally.
