UHB Solihull Hospital

I have had knee and hip replacement surgery at Solihull Hospital. The surgeries went well and my recovery time spent as a in-patient was good. The service provided by staff at Solihull was very good and I am happy with the care I received.

I was referred to the sleep apnea clinic at Solihull Hospital by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital but after not hearing from anyone at Solihull Hospital I attended and spoke to a receptionist. They told me that there was no sleep apnea clinic at Solihull Hospital. I told them there was and showed them the letter I had received from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. I was then given a direct telephone number to call for an appointment because I am on the waiting list and have been waiting some time already.

The cardiac care I received here was good following heart failure but I've now been discharged early and have to go back through my GP to be referred back.

My carpal tunnel surgery went very well and I'm happy with the care I received.

My knee surgery went well and I'm happy with the care I received.

I have been seen 6 times whilst on the waiting list for knee replacement. Why did I need to be seen so many times to be told the same thing each time? I'm not looking forward to having to start the whole process again with the other knee.

I had knee replacement surgery here. I had one knee done and the care was good. I then waited a year for the other knee to be done and they only did half of the knee. This didn't work so I had to have it removed and replaced with a full knee replacement.

I had several ophthalmology appointments here and it took a long time to find out what was wrong. The communication from the doctor was poor and they didn't name it as macular dystrophy for a long time.

I came here for care after cancer worries due to an enlarged prostate. I had a number of biopsies and saw a consultant. It was all very old school and seeing the consultant may have been unnecessary. I've since been transferred to GP care.

I came here as a walk in for a blood test and didn't wait long. The phlebotomist was experienced which was reassuring.
