Just can't get through on the phone!!!

Last week I spent 40 minutes on the phone in a queue, I Was 7th in queue to start with. Receptionist eventually answered only to be told there were no appointments available to book with the GP that deals with hrt! Told to ring back Thursday morning 8 30am which I did.
Was position 9 in the queue, 20 mins later was only at position 6, I Gave up then.
Its sad as I've been with this practice 20+ years and it used to be excellent, now sadly it is hopeless.
I hate to think if you needed something urgently how you would get on. I wouldn't be surprised if they were responsible for severe illness in some as they, like me, would give up trying to get through.
This needs addressing urgently before someone dies while waiting!!!!

Dreadful Service & Facilities

The service and facilities are dreadful at the moment. Its impossible to see a doctor. The surgery has been set up in a make shift prefabricated building due to a burst water pipe and works that have been ongoing for a while. The diabetic care has been so awful I have ended up in hospital. There is a supply issue of the insulin that I use and the surgery are disinterested and are not helping assure which is very worrying. I have two weeks supply left and I am concerned about what I will do if that runs out and nothing has been done.

Very good service, easy to access

I find it easy to get appointments when I need one. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The doctors are good. I am very happy with the service offered at this surgery.

Repeated mistakes with prescriptions

I am diabetic and have experienced repeated mistakes with my prescriptions. This has happened on a number of occasions and is completely unacceptable.

Try to fob off their elderly patients

I am not happy at all with the way my elderly relative has been treated by this surgery. She has been passed from pillar to post. We have experienced nothing but problems with referrals and patient pathways. We have been told that referral letters were sent when they had not. This resulted in a 9 month delay for an urgent check up. I feel like my elderly relative was fobbed off and it is only when I went with them to advocate on their behalf that they were taken seriously and matters were finally dealt with adequately. Overall a poor and disappointing experience at this surgery.

Failure to give out blood results

Failed to give me important blood test results. I am only now getting them that I have moved surgeries. I had a really poor experience of Hobs Moat and am glad to be out of the area and at a new surgery now.

6 Month wait for IUD to be changed

I've just had to wait 6 months to have my implant removed and replaced. This meant that it was taken out 3 months late and I was advised by my GP to take the pill as well as having the implant. I was not happy with this at all. They could not confirm that the implant would actually stop working or not during those three months and expected me to put more hormonal medication into my body without knowing for certain.

Got a referral for mental health

Access to appointment is difficult

I have mixed feelings about my surgery, sometimes its soo difficult to even speak with anyone or get any information regarding my health condition. And at times it totally great, I get to see the doctor and do all my blood test.

The lack of communication for my test results

For me, it is the fact that I have to chase up my test results and to wait for any information about my results.
