Good surgery with nice staff and doctors
March 30, 2023
Can usually get an appointment if really needed. Staff are helpful and the doctors are great.
Nice staff and good care

The reception staff are really friendly and helpful. The doctors are kind and considerate too. The only problem can be getting through on the phone line and getting an appointment. I know this seems to be a problem everywhere at the moment though.
Excellent care and support during Menopause
January 31, 2023
I have received outstanding care and support from a GP at Green Lane Surgery whilst going through the menopause. I have been referred to a hospital clinic but due to long waiting times my GP is still treating me.
Excellent staff but problems seeing GP

Reception staff and nurses are fantastic, it can just be very difficult to see a doctor. Have been referred to another practice so that my child can be seen face to face.

No problem with the surgery.
You can get appointments which can be face to face or on the phone.
Staff are friendly and the environment is clean when you go to the surgery.

No asthma review taken place at surgery.

My son suffers from Asthma.
During lockdown, my son was wheezing and was asthmatic. I tried to get an appointment for him but I was advised no appointments were available because of covid. They prescribed him the Ventolin inhaler which helped at the time.
My son has had no asthma reviews since lockdown and now it is 2022, he still has not seen a nurse.

Care can be improved at the GP surgery.

My son has psoriasis and asthma.
During 2nd lockdown he suffered from an outbreak of bad Psoriasis in 2021.
I had to send a picture of how bad it was to the doctors.
I was advised during the appointment that My son would be referred to the dermatologist. This was in June 2022. The Dr did explain the process.
I received an appointment for Nov 2022. When I saw the dermatologist at the surgery with my son, they provided a cream.
The Dr did not prescribe a cream that was strong enough to treat the condition.

Long queue on phone when you call the surgery
November 3, 2022
When you contact the surgery, there are long queues already on the phone.
You have to have a telephone consultation before you can see a GP if you manage to get through.
When you do get appointment, there is 2 weeks wait.
Most of the time the reception staff are helpful, but they can be nosey.
They want to know why we want to see the Dr.
I had a coil put in and had to explain to the receptionist the reason for wanting to see the GP which I was not comfortable with.
A brief description should be sufficient enough.

Waiting time can be long
August 29, 2022
Waiting time on phone can be long so best to call into reception. Then a doctor will call you on the same day. Reception staff and GP's have been very good.
Locums don't go into much detail or refer you. The main doctor was good and has referred me to Podiatry. Appt came through within 2 weeks.

Phone lines need changing

Can never get through on the phone for any appointments. When you can you are frequently told of the unavailability of appointments and advised to call back the following day, only to be told the same again.
