Doctors hesitant to provide treatment

June 4, 2024
I recently have had issues receiving treatment here due to not having a full medical history available. The doctors here seem hesitant to properly diagnose or treat my problem.

I was told to go here by hospital staff but they wouldn't see me and told me to go to A&E instead.

No good for long term medical conditions

May 13, 2024
I have used the online booking system to get appointments which is good. The doctors have been good but it is no good for ongoing care with long term medical conditions, and you just get told that you need to be referred by your own GP.

A very good service

The new service provided at Solihull Hospital is very good. I have been able to access health care for my parent who I care for here. The staff were very good.

Recommended but could not provide blood test

May 1, 2024
I booked an appointment here when I could not get in at my GPs. They told me that I needed an urgent blood test but they could not do it or refer me to the phlebotomy department at Solihull Hospital which is in the same building. The doctors here are good but they were not helpful at all during this visit. In the end I was told to go back to my GP even though I was there due to issues getting an appointment at my GP.

Online booking system not working

April 18, 2024
I was very disappointed, when told to book an appointment at the urgent treatment centre, to find that the online booking system was not working. I was therefore unable to book an appointment.

No treatment and referred back to my GP

April 18, 2024
I attended an appointment at Solihull Hospital's Urgent Treatment Centre that was arranged by my GP because they had no available appointments. I attended the appointment but there was little that they could do. They suspected a hernia and told me that I had to see my GP as they were unable to refer me on for necessary blood tests and/or an referral. This appointment was made due to poor access at my GP surgery, so being referred back there was quite frustrating.
