Horrendous waiting time on the phone

Every time you call, make sure you have cleared plenty of time. It’s often over at an hour to speak to anyone. It never used to be like this, your new system doesn’t work. The online consultation is shocking, referred to documents I could easily google. I want to speak to a doctor not have a google search. The online consultation is difficult to navigate and I consider myself good with I.T, god help you if you are not I.T savvy. I then waited four days for any contact with a text message asking me if I still had the same complaint. The most bizarre experience, finally a GP called me and attempted to prescribe me a drug that I had purchased from the chemist. Thankfully I m was not seriously ill. Covid / or no Covid surely this is all just dangerous practice.

Since the changes it’s impossible to get through and despite their Director being proud they have improved he needs to get his head out of the sand! Still 2hrs to get thru!!!
Impossible to Get through to a real doctor

I have tried to help my elderly housebound parents access the service several times. They finally get through to the receptionist, request an appointment with a doctor, only to be put back to the end of the Queue, number 29. They are not online and are now desperate. I have given the one star to the pharmacy staff who have remained a constant throughout, so my thanks to them. Good luck to anyone expecting any other sort of service. I’ve worked at a surgery and this is no way to treat people.

Waited on phone for 1.7 hours then gave up. Disgusting. Call cost was £2.70p. Think we're made of money

I have been trying to book an appointment for the last 4 weeks , after several calls telling me the queue was already full - I completed an online form to book as I received a letter to book a smear and having had irregularities in the past i called - again full queue - having completed the form online I received a response 4 days later to say an appointment will be booked ... fast forward approx 3.5 wks - still nothing - you can’t get through to them on the phones - it’s ridiculous - a once great practice has failed the basics of being contactable

Surgery closed, waited in queue, at number 60 then told doctor will call, 6hrs later, never speak to the same doctor, never get a face to face appointment.

It is impossible to get through on the phone, which is especially difficult if you have limited time to be on the phone eg at work, it takes 2 days or more for someone to respond to an online consultation, then it can be difficult explaining symptoms or taking photos when it would be far easier for a doctor to examine you in person. Even issues with medication are difficult or take longer to resolve than usual explaining to reception then having to wait for to call back to get in the list to discuss it with a pharmacist. Also difficulty trying to get information about the flu jab for my asthmatic daughter meant I had to go to a pharmacy to get it done instead of a flu clinic.
