Nice staff but somethings seriously wrong

Phone constantly gets disconnected after waiting in a queue. Call straight back and number 4 seems to be the magic number because I am always caller number 4 then 3 then 2 then ringing for a minute and then disconnected. And repeat........ Have to give up and drive to surgery and speak face to face, its the only way.

The problems with repeat prescriptions are never ending too. Half the time the website prescription service is not working properly, but you don't know this until you wonder why you have not been contacted to collect your prescription.

Lets try emailing the prescription instead.
This is hit and miss, sometimes it gets picked up and processed and sometimes it does not. Once again you don't realise this until nearly a week has passed. But even when it has been processed, half the time items are missed off the prescription and I have to waste time trying to get hold of the surgery once again only to have to drive there once again because the phones.........

Getting an appointment is like playing the lottery, but first you have to actually manage to get in the queue and then manage to not get disconnected just to be told all appointments have gone.
One time I actually managed to get through straight away as soon as the phone lines opened and I must have been the first person because the phone was answered straight away. But guess what, all appointments had gone. How is this possible?

The staff in there seem nice and helpful but the surgery is being really let down by the issues I have mentioned.

Used NHS app to order prescription

Used appropriate NHS site to order prescription and not actioned. Phoned surgery and receptionist said that NHS system online site is nothing to do with surgery and only use practice only site. Completely untrue as surgery's site states to use this site as you can access all your information. Completely incorrect information and receptionist was adamant she was right and I was wrong. I give up with this inadequate surgery.

Still 1 hour wait on phone with improvement

Whilst there has been some improvement getting through to my GP at Hobs Moat Medical Centre, you can still wait up to 1 hour to get through from 8.30 hours. When they open to be told all appointments have been taken and try tomorrow. The family have also had problems with illness, my sister rang them at 11am on Sat with a reaction to a bite on her arm. No one called back so she chased early evening to be told that some had hacked into NHS computer. They then arranged for her to go to Aston for collect her prescription for antibiotics Which she managed to get at 10pm when the chemist closed.

Poor appointment service

Poor appointment service. When you call you are waiting about 2 hours on the phone. After waiting on the phone and you get through you are advised the appointments are gone and to call back next day. When you are in the surgery you don’t see any phones ringing so where the call are going it is unknown.
The phone gets disconnected when you are in the queue. I have to ring back and start again in the queue.

Staff are nice and polite.
Drs are really good when you get to see them.
Nurses at the GP are good.

Do any gps work from this surgery ?

Continual problems obtaining repeat prescriptions via their direct link to Boots.Boots say not receiving info from surgery to fulfil my requirements.Cannot contact them as they never reply to emails..WHY ?? Now looking to BUY my medications on line as continually having gaps in my medications.I was told recently by receptionist that GP would call me regarding a different problem..date and p.m. given.The time and date went !!phoned surgery and told that this phone appointment now moved to following week !!No calls..no email..no text. JUST OH! ITS BEEN MOVED TO FOLLOWING WEEK !! Why not keep your patients informed when you change appointment ?DOES ANYONE CARE AT THIS SURGERY ????

Phone problem

Cant get through on phone. Try for ages, can be 10th in queue. Has improved but still not good enough. Has to have phone call before allowed to see GP. One phone call was from paramedic. Didn't have trust or faith in this person as not trained G.P.
Has faith in Dr Crichton & Would like to be able to make appointment directly with him.

My grandchild had something wrong with his foot when he was born and the health visitor did not pick it up and we brought it to her attention she did not listen. Now his foot is not straight and can not walk for long until he is tired. We have gone private to check and he is being treated. I want to know what my tax is being used for?.

Never get through on phone. No GP to see

Have to go in to get appointment. Offered phone appointment in 17 days time. Need to see GP as skin condition that needs looking at. After going back in 3 times, as can never get through on phone, finally got to see GP, 9 days later!
