Arran Medical Centre

My experience as a new patient with ongoing complex medical conditions has been excellent. The doctors are excellent and the staff are nice. I have found it easy to get appointments and when recently unwell I was quickly referred to the Hospital.

I visited arran way for a new patient check and routine blood test. The care provided by the nurse was excellent and all of the tests went well.

My experience with Arran Medical Centre has been excellent. I have found it easy to set up appointments and despite not been with them long I have been seen more often than in ten years with my old GP.

They have been our family doctors for years. They are good, and the doctors are very thorough. I have never encountered any problems.

My experience has been awful at this surgery. I have not been seen face to face since before covid. I have mental health conditions, diabetes and asthma, I had no medication reviews, no diabetes check ups and my asthma review was done over the telephone. I asked for help with weight management and I was told there was nothing they could do to help me. I do not feel like the doctors listened to me or cared. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful. I was made to feel like a burden for asking for an appointment, and on many occasions was told that it was my own fault for not calling earlier. Calling when the phone lines opened did not help, as you still could not get through. I felt belittled by the attitude of the staff. Overall my experience has been absolutely awful here and I made the decision to change GPs. I would not recommend this surgery.

It is impossible to get an appointment with a doctor. Sometimes you are told that someone will call you back but you can be waiting over a week for a call back. I recently had an issue with my ear and they would not see me and also a chest infection, and again they would not see me. Quite often they do not even answer the phone when you call the surgery.

Awful surgery I can never get an appointment they are absolutely rubbish.

Hard to get through on the phone lines, hard to get a face to face appointment, can be sent to alternative surgeries. Doctors are generally ok when you get to see one.

The receptionist was extremely rude, she doesn't listen what I've trying to explain. I've been cheated as well, on my booking I've been told £80/85 fee need to pay for D4 DVLA examination they take me £140 in the end without eye test even! I'm absolutely disappointed!
