Very good experience in urology department

My experience has been very good. I have attended a number of appointments as part of my catheter care plan. Staff are great and have been very helpful.

Told I would have to live with the symptoms

I have been seen a number of times in recent years by the urology department. I was told that I just had to live with the problems. This was affecting my life and I was experiencing re-occurring infections that were badly affecting my daily live. I recently went private for an operation that the hospital would not perform. I feel like I have a new lease of life I am just extremely disappointed that the NHS would not help me despite paying into the system my whole life.

Pacemaker check up went very well

My experience of the cardiology department has been very good. I phoned the department on Friday 7th July 2023 and they booked me an appointment for today (Tuesday 11th July 2023). The appointment went well and I feel very reassured. They have booked me in for a further check up in 4 months time.

Very good cardiology department

The cardiology outpatients department offers a brilliant service. The waiting times are very good. I have been kept well informed by the doctors and nurses who have been wonderful.

Excellent outpatients department

The outpatients department is very good. When it's time for your appointment they come out and call you and show you the way. The volunteers who are around to assist you are wonderful. I am always seen within good time and I am never waiting long.

Long wait for low vision team

I have had a very long wait to be seen by the low vision team. I have been unable to carryout daily tasks and live my normal life due to the difficulties I have experienced with my vision. I have attended today to be told that I will now have an assessment done at my home. I hope that I am not in for another long wait because I am really struggling.

On-going investigation of suspicious lump

I have been under the care of Solihull hospital who are investigating a lump under my skin. I have had an x-ray, an MRI and I am going for an ultrasound. It's a bit frustrating going for all these different tests on different days but I'm happy that they are looking into things thoroughly, and all appointments have gone well. The doctors and nurses have been wonderful. Hopefully I will soon have some answers.

Told I just have to live with the problems

I have a number of doctors at Solihull about the problems I have been experiencing. I have been told that I just have to live with the problems. I'm not happy with this. There are things that could be done they just are not willing to fund them. Awful service from the hospital and the NHS in general!

Tried to kill me I think

Wrong after op treatment, gave me ileus, after 10 days of continually being sick and the hospital refusing to give me basic treatment and refusing to transfer me, I was eventually transferred to the QE suffering malnutrition.
I think I have PTSD from my experience.
