Chester Road Surgery

The surgery has been good with referrals and post dementia diagnosis support. I can usually get an appointment when I need one.

Getting an appointment is a right rigmarole! The telephone system is a nightmare. The doctors are great when you get an appointment. The receptionists are great and do their best to get you in when they can.

Chester Road is my local surgery and the doctors here are great, but booking an appointment on the telephone is difficult. I attend a partner surgery to book appointments in person because I find this works better. The doctors have been very good throughout my cancer journey and I can always get an appointment when I need one.

I am very happy with the service offered by Chester Road Surgery. I have been with the practice since I was a child. I do not need the doctor very often but a recent issue has been handled very well by them. I have accessed their service digitally, which has included sending pictures and speaking with a doctor on the phone. It has now got to the point that I need an appointment and I had no trouble booking to see the GP. I have regular repeat prescriptions and have never experienced any problems having them processed and issued. Good access, good surgery, good job!

An appointment was needed for my young child. The phone lines cut off so we drove to the surgery. Access is good for children.

My experience differs, sometimes its good sometimes it can be bad. Access to appointments has been more difficult since the surgery merged with Bosworth Medical Centre. They are very good at providing appointments for children I have never had a problem getting my child an appointment. I have waited two weeks for my appointment today, although it was not urgent when I booked it I have been concerned about my medication running out and need to discuss alternatives with a doctor. It has been hard adjusting to all the new staff since a long standing doctor left the surgery. It used to feel very personable but now lacks this and there is lack of consistency as I never see the same doctor. The new staff are all nice, my experience of the nurses and receptionists has always been great too they are very friendly and helpful.

I am happy with the surgery. Access is sometimes limited and I am quite often offered appointments at Bosworth Medical Centre. I prefer to be seen at Chester Road, so if its not urgent I wait for appointment here.

I joined this surgery after struggling with access at my previous surgery. Chester Road has been wonderful. If I cannot get an appointment here I am offered an appointment at Bosworth Medical Centre. The reception staff are lovely and helpful and the doctors have been great too. Would highly recommend this surgery.

Doctor [name redacted] was fantastic and this service does not provide the same level of care now that they have retired. I needed to phone the hospital just to get an appointment here recently.

A lot has changed at the surgery since covid. I phone at 8am and if I get through I still struggle to get an appointment. There's an app to book through but it has never worked for me. There are no longer surgery's held on Wednesday or Thursday afternoons now either. The doctors are great when I get to see them, and have been very supportive during my recovery following a head injury.
