No help at all
February 21, 2025
I called NHS 111 when I found myself unable to get out of bed or walk in the middle of the night. They told me that there was nothing they could do for me. They did not tell me to call for an ambulance or anything. A disappointing experience.

My experience was very good. I was prescribed steroids and antibiotics over the telephone and the prescription was sent direct to my pharmacy of choice.

They provide a helpful service, though the questions are a little long winded. I was told to visit the urgent care department at Heartlands Hospital.

I contacted NHS 111 because I could not get an appointment with my GP. The call handler was very helpful. They booked me an appointment at a GP surgery, who happened to be my own GP providers.

Told to wait for GP appointment
January 31, 2025
I contacted NHS 111 over the weekend, but I was told that because it was not life threatening I should wait until Monday and book a GP appointment. I was a little disappointed that they did not facilitate an out of hours GP appointment somewhere.
