Frustrating!

Awful service, receptionists are patronising & rude, impossible to be seen & an overall response of ‘couldn’t care less’. The only practitioner with a modicum of compassion is [name]. The complaints system is futile, I asked for a complaints procedure and was ignored. They think because we have to live in Chelmsley Wood that we’re all unemployed under class morons. Absolute disgrace, pathetic excuse for a health service. Go elsewhere and do not use!!

The reception staff are beyond awful! Uncaring, patronising, sound bored when they eventually answer and that’s if you get in! Appointments system is a joke!
Health check with no blood tests !

Had a message to book a health check, went for the appointment and they are not doing blood tests which is in my opinion the main part of a health check, waited and heard the staff saying no bloods to be done, asked the question when called and they said no bloods due to the national shortage of vials, I didn’t bother staying for the check, complete waste of time, they shouldn’t be booking these if they aren’t doing blood checks !
Too hard to get an appointment

I had an appointment at City Hospital for a nerve conduction test on my hands back in July. I waited 4 weeks before chasing the results. When I did call I was told my results are on the system but are yet to be reviewed. I asked to speak to a doctor but was told to call up after 8am and make an appointment for the doctor to call me back. I have tried to get through numerous times but end up being too far down the queue to secure an appointment. Losing my temper doesn’t benefit anyone so I just end up forgetting to call and chase them again. I just want my results and to move forward with treatment. I work, so only have the opportunity to try and get through twice a week.

Phoned doctors after 45 minutes on hold gave up, spoke to pharmacist at chemist was told I needed to see a doctor. I called into surgery, receptionist said no phone appointments and to phone the following morning. I tried phoning following morning gave up after nearly an hour on hold. I phoned 111 yes I had to wait, but someone phoned me back and I was given an appointment at the badger clinic at Hurst lane, castle Bromwich. They were very good and helpful, I had an infection in my leg which the doctor said needed strong antibiotics.

No-one I know has been able to get an appointment to see a doctor in the last 18 months. Can't leave feedback under ratings because I haven't been there.

I have tried to get appointments in the last couple of months and it is so difficult. I phone at 8.00 exactly as it really is impossible after this time. It will be permanently engaged so I have to keep hitting redial. I eventually get through to the automated voice recording and after letting me listen to that for a couple of minutes, it then tells me that there are unprecedented high call volumes and they can’t take my call. I keep going through this process (immediately hitting redial each time) until I eventually get in a queue. I can remain in this queue for 59 mins only to find that the call is disconnected and I have to start the process all over again. When I do finally get through to speak to a receptionist, there are no doctors appointments available. It’s so frustrating as I need to commence the same process the following day. There is no alternative process even if you don’t require an appointment that day. I finally got an appointment for my husband who was suffering with depression and found the whole situation unbearable. I have to say that the triage nurse practitioner has been really helpful once we got an appointment although the doctor cancelled the follow up appointment with Nick and we’re now back in the cycle of trying to get an appointment.

Impossible to get an appointment. Phone dead on 8 AM, put into a long queue and then cuts you off after 40 minutes of waiting. If by someone miracle you do get through a receptionist (with a really bad attitude) tells you there’s no appointments available and to phone again the next day and start the whole process over again.
