So difficult to book appointment

Once you can see a Doctor the service is great. The problem is the ridiculous rush system that they have created that causes patients unnecessary stress, not knowing whether they will be one of the lucky ones to get a slot that day. I called at 8.30 as advised to book an appointment only to be stuck in a queue of 15 that is naturally very slow. I tried to call back twice and when eventually got through I was told to just try again at 8.30 the next day. Online appointments and the infrastructure is set up to allow patients to pre book, but constantly showing as none available on any days, forcing you to join the mad rush everyday at 8:30.

Same day appointments with excellent service

Having moved house within Solihull and, on recommendation signed on with Arden Medical Centre we are in disbelief at the difference from our previous surgery. We have required a couple of appointments and have been seen the same day as well as being contacted to tell us medication reviews are due. Telephone calls have been answered quickly and the staff have been pleasant and polite. The comfort of knowing we can now see a doctor or nurse when we need to is immeasurable. If they can do it why can't other surgeries?

Unhelpful during my wife's emergency

Two months ago my wife had a ectopic pregnancy and was bleeding. She gave a urine sample and the results were too late coming back. She had to go to hospital and was then referred to the gynae hospital so this GP surgery is not good at all. I had to constantly call them and they didn't deal with the emergency.

A good service but face to face access poor

The practice is normally good, and you can get a telephone appointment straight away. It is far more difficult to see a doctor face to face. Follow up appointments after hospital treatment and admission has also only been done via the telephone which has been disappointing.

I have recently moved to this practice and can only praise the wonderful service they offer. Appointments are easy to access, the staff are kind and helpful and the doctors are very thorough during appointments.

Good support with management of diabetes

Its easier to get a telephone appointment than a face to face appointment but overall I have no complaints with this because accessibility is not a problem. I receive good support with managing my diabetes from the nurses or doctor if needed. I have regular medication reviews and they make contact with me for this.

Easy to access great care & support

I never have a problem accessing the surgery although it is usually a telephone appointment. They offer good support with diabetes management.

Caring Family practice. Not a group practice

It is a unique practice because it is independent and has not joined a partnership which are not fit for purpose. Therefore I can always get through and speak to someone quickly and because I am only dealing with THAT practice and fewer Drs, they are more efficient and I feel valued. The receptionists are polite and helpful and queries are dealt with promptly.
