Take action this World Cancer Day

February 4, 2022

World cancer day aims to raise awareness, improve education and create Government action. It aims to pull everyone together to work towards a world where millions of preventable cancer deaths are saved and access to live-saving treatment and care is equitable for all.

Many people who need cancer treatment face difficulties at every turn. Income, education, geographical location and discrimination based on ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability and lifestyle can all negatively affect care.

This years awareness day has the theme “Close the care gap”. It aims to raise awareness of this equity gap that affects so many people and is costing lives.
