Solihull Healthcare Partnership Update

SHP Update: 12th April 2021

We continue to be alerted to concerns from SHP service users. We continuously monitor feedback and all concerns are shared with partners/stakeholders such as SHP, and Birmingham and Solihull CCG. We have raised concerns directly with SHP and we have also discussed with Councillors and raised concerns at local stakeholder meetings.
We visited SHP to meet CEO Steve New and raised complaints with him directly, we also plan to visit SHP call centre when restrictions allow.

We are currently planning discussions with all PCNS in Solihull, to discuss our latest report on access to GP services via technology.

    I’ve been trying to book an appointment for myself and my daughter for over a week. The online consult form is not available. Whenever I call I either get told that they are experiencing high call volumes and cannot present my call to be answered or alternatively I have had at least 40 callers in front of me. I work full time and cannot take time out to wait that long for my call to be answered. I have been a patient of Monkspath surgery since 2011. They were always exemplary as a practice. I’m completely bewildered as to what to do next.
