Poor waiting times
My experience of hospital transport to non-emergency appointments has been poor. It is a great service to have, as getting to appointments at hospital would be impossible, but the service is inadequate. Ambulances have arrived for me in the past and not been able to take me because of my wheelchair despite being told that I am a wheelchair user. I have been collected 8 hours before my appointment time and have had extremely long waits after my appointments to be taken home. Sitting in a reception area for over 5 hours, when you have medical conditions, are wheelchair bound and on your own has been an awful experience. This service needs to improve.
