A&E treatment and waiting time long and poor

I had a high temperature in April this year. Went to Heartlands A&E. Went at 9am in the morning and did not leave until 5pm. I had to wait for the Dr. which was a long wait. The Dr. checked my throat and gave me medication. Time shouldn't be wasted where emergency care is concerned If it is a A&E then the patient should get treatments. The emergency care is not efficient. In Spain, where I lived for 15 years you are seen within 1 hour you receive assessment and check up. I do not feel like going to Heartland A&E because of this.
