Long waits just to be sent home anyway

I didn't get seen by a doctor when I was transferred to the urgent assessment unit. I was seen by a nurse who sent me for blood tests and a CT scan. I spent all day waiting then they told me they were transferring me to a ward because the department was closing. They later told me I needed a procedure. I was taken to the waiting room where I spent the whole night sat in a hard chair. In the morning the doctor came to speak to me. The consultation was not private it was just done in the room with everyone else. He looked at his notes and decided he was going to refer me for an MRI as an outpatient instead of waiting any longer. I had been there for 25 hours in total.
