Hard to see a GP

It has become very hard to get an appointment with a GP. Most appointment are now offered with a GP Associate and to be completely honest I am a bit cautious of their knowledge and expertise. When you contact a doctors surgery for an appointment I do not think it is unreasonable to expect an appointment with a doctor.
Appointments with GP Associates?

I can usually get an appointment if I need one, but I am concerned that has become normal to be offered an appointment with a GP Associate and not a GP. I would prefer to see/speak to a GP when I have a concern.
Referrals not made when told they had been

The service has been terrible during a mental health problem. For over two months I had been told that urgent mental health referrals had been made but this was not done, and I have had to try and access help by attending the hospital. My experience has been very poor.

Very hard to get through on the phone.
Used to answer immediately before.
No face-to-face appointments since covid.
GP that was known has retired. No information as yet on whose patient I will be.
Before covid I would have rated the experience a 5*

Very great service, I am very pleased with the level of care and attention I get from everyone at this practice.
9/10 Appointments are given at GP

I call at 8.30 and I find I can get an appointment for the doctor. They offer appointment on the phone first and if needed through assessment they offer face to face appointments. 9/10 times appointment is given.
Excellent support from GP.

Dr at the surgery has provided excellent support. Phoned regularly to check if I was ok.
Nurse provides regular appointments.

The nurses at the surgery are very good. They send regular appointments for blood tests to check my vitamin level, for my underactive thyroid and for my asthma review. My asthma care is very good.

Been with the surgery 4 years. Phone lines are busy but you get a call back and can see a Dr face to face, which has been a few times.
Repeat prescriptions are all ok and goes on time to the pharmacy.
