You cannot book home visits in advance

I was being discharged from hospital and was required to book home visits from my GP as part of ongoing care and recovery. My family tried to book a visit for me but were told that it had to be booked on the day. Knowing how difficult it is to get through and actually book an appointment was very stressful. I did manage to get home visits as needed but the system could be simplified, and the anxiety and stress caused by their poor system could have been eased if these appointments could have been booked in advance.
