Original feedback for

NHS 111

Lengthy process but good treatment & advice

I called 111 for my son because it was the weekend. He had a strange looking infection on the outside of his ear. They asked me to attend the urgent treatment centre at Solihull hospital but I explained that being on the spectrum busy waiting rooms are very difficult for him. I asked if it was possible to speak to someone that I could send photographs to. After speaking to four different people my request was granted. I sent pictures to a number provided and spoke to a nurse practitioner. She was very helpful and prescribed antibiotics and also advised that he needed to have a blood test as his symptoms are consistent with diabetes. Following that advice I have made contact with my own GP.
