Bosworth Medical Centre

I was running low on my contraceptive pill so called for a prescription.
I was told I couldn't have it without a pill check. I went on to tell them which days I could do around my full time job only to be told "oh you misunerstand we aren't doing pill checks". Not sure how I could misunderstand but ok! Asked again for the prescription to be told no as needed a pill check!! Where do we go from here?! I need something I'm willing to do that they won't offer due to covid but I can't have what I need until this thing they don't do is done!! After much wasted time on the phone trying to understand it she just issued the prescription to be signed and ready within a few days! I wonder how many rogue pregnancies there will be!!

Reception staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful. Doctors are always unsure on medication. Trying to get a appointment is like trying to get blood out of a stone. Doctors are even rude at times and try and get you out or off the phone as quick as possible.

It can be a struggle to get an appointment but once you have one its very good service

Hard to get through if you do receptionist doesn’t let you book to speak to doctor.
I was referred apparently for urgent chest X-ray 24/02 still not heard anything 14/04 receptionist gave me previous results I had to put a complaint into the surgery to get an explanation of my results. Last week I called for a review of medication receptionist said lady that does reviews is on holiday I will authorise an extra month. I feel Receptionists at this surgery do more than the doctors which is wrong as they are not medical professionals

Receptionists act like they run the building. If you do not tell them what your problem is they won’t pass it through to a doctor. They never have any spots to speak or see a doctor. On phone waiting times for up to an hour to be told nothing left call back and the same happens. Doctors there will just prescribe tablets for any and every medical problem. Most of the doctors don’t care and their attitude shows it.
Over all it’s not a very good place to go for a doctor
They have a handful of decent Gp’s working there but you can never request a doctor ( not even your own) and are giving who you are given so every doctor knows your medical business

Ive been going to Bosworth medical centre since I was child and Ive never had an issue, Ive always been listened to and been sensitively dealt with, even if I feel Ive have been over reacting (especially with my children!) my only real issue is waiting, Ive had to miss appointments because Iv been left waiting so long but it’s been one in a while, not consistent

Fast freindly and efficient

Very well organised

Was there an hour early and I got seen right away due to other members of public not arriving at their appointments.

Can sometimes be difficult to get through but always manage to get an appointment and speak to the gp.
