Bosworth Medical Centre

I wax at Chester Road surgery which has merged with Bosworth Wood medical centre, since then it is always difficult to contact anyone, staying on the phone for over half and hours to speak to a receptionist and not able to speak to a doctor. I feel the service has deteriorated.

They always listen and don't rush you. They are very thorough.

been waiting over a year for physio on my hip and still no sign of me getting an appointment i have probably been removed from there list and not been told anything about what is happening about my treatment

Telephone lines ridiculously busy all day everyday, when you do get through and if you manage to get a telephone appointment you never get to have a face to face with a gp you get to see a nurse or a paramedic !

Phone back GP finds the correct way to treat you X-ray physio medication blood tests blood pressure checking and so on they always follow through

Cant get past the receptionists to actually speak to a doctor.

Over an hour to get through , then no appointments left, receptionist giving medical advice regards test results, never any face to face appointments

You can't get through to anyone and when you do there isn't anyway of seeing a doctor. Even if you say it's urgent, it's like your health doesn't matter to them at all

I have ongoing mental health issues and during lockdown, like many others, I was struggling a lot. I had to contact Bosworth Medical Center every 28 days or so for medication reviews, I had to do this a few times. Ringing up there are always queues which is to be expected, I think the longest I waited was over an hour, but once I get through the receptionists are mostly helpful and I have always been able to get an appointment when needed.
During lockdown I have also had 2 referrals made to hospital which were made promptly and both times I had a referral appointment within 4 weeks of my initial call.
It is not all perfect though, there have been a couple of times where receptionists have been blunt or abrupt but I can only put that down to stress from taking calls. Of course there is room for improvement but overall I would recommend Bosworth and have done to many of my friends who are registered to other local Doctors.
