Bosworth Medical Centre

I find the surgery to be quite good. I can get appointments when I need one. The receptionists, doctors and nurses are all quite nice.

The nurses at Bosworth Medical Centre are fantastic. They go above and beyond to help. They are kind and caring and I have been very satisfied with the care and treatment they have provided.

I see a nurse every three months for injections and I also have appointments to change dressings on my legs. The nurse is great and provides an excellent service. I feel the nurse has time to listen to my concerns, answers any questions I have and communicates well with me.

It is very difficult to get a doctors appointment at Bosworth Medical Centre. I do not feel listened to. After being successfully treated for cancer I had a concern about a lump but my concerns were completely brushed off.

It's a nightmare to get through on the phone in the mornings. When you call you are at least 20th in the queue and by the time you speak to a receptionist all the appointments are gone and you are told to call back tomorrow, when you go through the same process. At times I have come down to the surgery while holding on the phone and there are no queues and the receptionists on the front desk are not answering the phone. The receptionists are very friendly and do try their best to help you. You see different doctors all the time, its not like it used to be when you built a rapport with your doctor. When you get an appointment the doctor asks you what the problem is, how they can help and then ask you about past medical history. Why do they not look at your medical records on their systems? There is not time for these discussions and I always feel very rushed like they cannot wait to push you out the door.

Referrals and support with dementia diagnosis has been good. Accessing GPs has not been a problem.

I find accessing appointments easy by attending the surgery in person and talking to the receptionists. They are friendly and helpful. It is much less stressful than trying to book an appointment on the telephone.

I have not sought medical advice for a long time because I find the booking appointment so stressful. It gives me anxiety just thinking about it. Trying to get through on the phone, being on hold for a long time. If you get a call back from a doctor waiting for that call is hard. I have been persuaded by family members to book an appointment for today. I was not offered an appointment at Bosworth Medical Centre but they gave me an appointment at the Chester Road surgery. This is not a problem as long as I have enough notice and time to get there. I live very close to Bosworth Medical Centre so travelling further away is a little inconvenient.

I made a self-referral for physiotherapy at Bosworth Medical Centre, I have been having sessions on a 6 week on 6 week off basis. They physio team are great and it has been helping.

This is not my GP surgery but I have attended hub appointments here and also have my blood tests done here. The service is good, the surgery is bright and clean but can be rather busy compared to my own surgery. Luckily I drive or appointments here would not be convenient.
