Absolutely freezing cold for residents
My mother was discharged from hospital and sent to Ardenlea Court care home for respite. The experience was awful. It was absolutely freezing in her room. We requested that the thermostat in her room be adjusted because of how cold the room was but we were told that it is against there policy to adjust it, and that it could not be done. They put a small blow heater in the room which did not make any difference. We had to bring in extra bedding and blankets to try and keep her warm. We were appalled at the service and cannot believe how cold the room was that an elderly vulnerable person was expected to stay in. We would go so far as to say that care here was disgusting.
