A lost referral and a very long wait
I was referred by my opticians back in April 2023. I chased up my referral appointment many times and they told me that they had not received the referral. I chased this up with my opticians who had confirmation of receipt of the referral, but they agreed to refer me again to try and speed things up. After waiting 9 months since my initial referral Midland Eye informed met that I would have a 12 month wait. This is just not acceptable, my vision has deteriorated rapidly and I am concerned about driving, which I must do to get to and from work. They do not seem to care about the impact this is having on my daily life.
