Triage to be done by trained staff
Was given a letter from the hospital asking me to get into touch with my GP Tried to get an appointment over the phone but it would not allow me to join the call with the call queue reaching is capacity. Had to eventually visit the surgery. Visited on a Monday and did not get and appointment until Thursday for Heart Review. Receptionist are not medically trained to be able to advise if the patients need to see a doctor /nurse and the importance of seeing a medical staff. Positive - Professionals are good, Feedback - more money needs to be spent on training new nurses and nurses need bursary for starting.
